Johan Jacobs of Go Natural is a businessman who suffered from multiple sclerosis (MS) and was miraculously healed. In many ways, this year is a milestone for him. JOY! paid him a visit to hear what has transpired in the nine years since we first published his testimony.
Q. Why is 2019 such a significant year for you?
This is the year of my spiritual coming of age – the 21st year since I was born again and baptised as an adult. It’s the 15th year since I was declared medically unfit, and since my path to recovery started. I am also turning 50 this year, it is my year of Jubilee, and it’s the 25th year that I have known my wife – I have spent half of my life with my ‘better half’.
Q. You started Go Natural in 2004 and have since helped many people recover their health. Are there any cases that stand out for you?
One of the testimonies on our website is that of Anna Harrington. She lost her kidney to cancer and followed the conventional route of surgery and chemotherapy. The cancer then spread to her bladder. From the very beginning I told her that there is always a root cause for cancer. I also told her about the dangers of root canals and amalgam fillings with mercury, but she wasn’t convinced. A month later, the doctor wanted to remove her bladder. She grabbed the straw and decided to first have her root canals and fillings removed. Today, her cancer has been gone for over a year, she is the picture of health, and she still has her bladder.
Q. What about MS cases similar to yours?
Recently, there was a young man in his thirties, Janco Moolman. His mother told him about my book and sent him my testimony and other articles in JOY! Magazine. The rest is history. He has no more symptoms at all, and has lost more than 20 kg and has plenty of energy. Another case is Tiaan Swart, 28, who was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). He could only manage one waking hour per day, after which he was exhausted. He was born with a cleft palate and had to use many antibiotics because of the many operations. This led to a leaky gut and he became malnourished. This, in addition to the inferior modern foods, led to bad teeth, root canals, and amalgam fillings. The root canal toxins and mercury from his amalgam fillings suppressed his immune system to the extent that he developed CFS. He ended up at my door and then got rid of the root of the problem. Six weeks later, his energy was suddenly back. Now he runs a health business, and is the owner of Canamere – which distributes hemp oil and other herbal formulas. Q. How do you feel about your role in helping so many people?
From a curse to a blessing. The Lord has turned my illness for good and today I am grateful for the calling and passion in my life, despite the road through the wilderness that I had to walk. The fruit that it bore makes it 100% worth it for me. I recently had a consultation with someone who flew in from Pretoria to come and see me. He has Parkinson’s disease, but after two hours he left with a smile on his face. He now understands the principles of natural healing and how to remove the root of the problem. If I can show people during such a consultation, seminar, or workshop how God created us with a miraculously capable inner doctor, then my cup runs over with gratitude. I know then that their chances of total recovery are very good.
Q. What lies ahead for the next ten years?
If the Lord has not returned before then, we will hopefully have a Go Natural store in every province that can supply people with truth, information, and real foods. There is a war against God’s created beings. Daily I see ‘victims of that war’. We have the answer to prevent this. My vision makes me excited, but at the same time shiver with fear, as I know it is so much bigger than me and can only be realised through God’s Will and provision. My vision is that there will be a Go Natural book in every home and a Go Natural store in every town.
Q. You also have a desire to take hands with churches?
Yes! Hosea 4:6 says, “My people perish due to a lack of knowledge,” – which is why I almost died. Christians pray for healing, but they eat and live for illness. The enemy has deceived us. I know that MS, cancer, and all the modern diseases are completely preventable. They are diet and lifestyle diseases linked to toxicology. The immune system is poisoned and cannot keep its head above water. I want to help my brothers and sisters to not step on the same landmines as I did. God created each of us with a purpose, but sometimes the enemy cuts our lives short prematurely. I love to speak to groups of people about this – I have spoken in church services, at Christian organisations, and have ministered by bringing a message on health to make listeners aware of how our body’s inner doctor works – we don’t realise how miraculous God has created our bodies to be.
Q. You say how important it is that valuable skills are not lost?
We live in a fast-paced society, and this has unfortunately also slipped into the food chain. Now, the bread is baked for us – even cut for us! If you wanted bread 200 years ago, you had to grind the wheat by hand. You could not buy yeast at the shop, you had to make it yourself. We lost the skill of growing our own yeast. The yeast cultures are all around us, it is so easy to harvest, but people do not know how to. We have lost hundreds of such skills over the years, and that is why people need to get the information, attend our workshop, read the book, and then start to live healthily.
Q. Any final words?
I did not fall ill, I was made ill. Almost all modern illnesses can be prevented. If you have breath in you, you have an inner doctor who lives and wants to work, you must not handcuff it with toxins and poor nutrition. I want to shout this message from the rooftops every day, because I know what it feels like to stare death in the face. I am so thankful to the Lord that I have been healed and can help to change other people’s lives for the better. Never give up, keep knocking, God will open the door and help you.
