Actor Jon Voight, a rare Hollywood exception who openly admits to being a Trump supporter, literally teared up as he talked about a conservative actress reacting when he asked her about President Donald Trump.
Appearing on Mark Levin’s new Fox News show, “Life, Liberty & Levin,” which airs Sunday nights, Voight agreed with the woman’s assessment when he said, “Thank God!”
“She just did this… That’s, that’s, uh, me, crying. It—it—was her, too,” he explained, tears welling up as he mimicked the woman’s emotional reaction.
Levin asked the 79-year-old actor why he was so emotional.
“First of all, the gesture was so beautiful. She couldn’t even speak. She was just saying, ‘Thank God!’ And I say, ‘Thank God!’” he replied.

“And one of the reasons why I can say thank God is it because I know He’s there for us all,” Voight continued. “That’s one of the things that we’ve lost, is this compass of God. What did Karl Marx (the founder of Marxism) come up with? He eliminated God from the picture.”

Pointing to images of our Founding Fathers displayed on the set, Voight pointed out that these early Americans understood God’s importance.
He noted “the genius of them to say the pursuit of happiness,” as he talked about how different it is in communist countries, recalling when he traveled to Moscow in 1991 to make a movie.
The support of Trump, added in with faith in God and a reverence for the men who founded this country, made the father of actress Angelina Jolie a rich target for the left.
