Last year October 2017, Hundreds of Christians from across South Africa and Abroad converged in Bloemfontein for the 1st Africa Convergence Conference (ACC). The conference, which was hosted by Divine Restoration Ministries under the leadership of Prophet Elisee Yao, declared, “Africa has a prophetic role to play in the last days.” The destiny of Africa was revealed and birthed with speakers from far and wide, including SA, as they declared changes in governments of Africa, and the start of a new season for Africa as a whole.

A place of refuge
Jesus is declared the head of this continent, known as the ‘dark continent’. A prophetic word was decreed: Africa is raising men and women who will shine the light of God without fear to the nations of Africa and the world as a whole. “Africa is a continent of light, it is a continent favoured by God.” For long, Africa has been considered the least of the continents – but according to Biblical history, Africa has been and still is a place of refuge.

• A place where God hid His chosen ones and prepared them for great destinies.
• Jesus was hidden in Africa.
• Israel as a nation came to Africa to escape the famine through Joseph, while Moses was hidden and prepared in Africa to lead the nation of Israel to the promised Land.

This year’s speakers
This year the theme is A time of Transformation for Africa, with guest speakers such as:

• Pastor Ray Bentley from Maranatha Chapel in California, who has a passion for Africa.
• Dr Robert Mawire, who comes from Africa and now resides in the US. He was sent on a mission by God to give Benjamin Netanyahu a Word from the Throne room of God.
• Pastor Elisee Yao, founder of Divine Restoration Ministries and the host of the of Africa Convergence Conference.
• Pastor Sarah Yao (Song writer and recording Artist of “Africa Bows to You in Worship”) and the Divine Restoration Ministries Worship team, who will lead the worship sessions with an added appearance of Joe Niemand.
• Uncle Angus Buchan, often referred to as the “Father of the Nation,” who has a heart for the people of Africa, says: “I am so excited to have been invited to be one of the speakers to the Africa Convergence Conference. On pondering, praying, and reflecting on what God wants to do with our beloved continent, I’ve never been so excited in my entire Christian walk with Jesus Christ.”

Not ashamed of the Gospel
We see on the international news front that just about all the major nations of the world are vying for position on the continent of Africa. We believe Africa is the last continent that will be standing for Jesus Christ when He returns to earth. Why? Because the people of Africa are not ashamed of the Gospel.

When men pray, God works
When we stand up for Jesus, as a people of God, then He stands up for us before His Father. We are in the most exciting time in the history of Africa, and especially South Africa. “When men work, they work, but when men pray, God works.” “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” – Romans 1:16 (KJV)

Every revival starts with prayer
Having studied revival for the past 40 years, I’ve noticed that every major revival in the world starts with prayer. In South Africa, prayer meetings are everywhere as God is leading His people. We believe that this conference is very timely and appropriate. I would encourage those who can make it, to please come. I believe that there will be speakers from all over the globe, and we thank God for Pastor Elisee and his dear wife Sarah, and their faith to believe God for a miracle for our Nation. Africa will be saved!
